I believe that physical activity is important for all people irrespective of gender. In my opinion, regularly taking part in any form of physical activity is vital for both males and females as it helps reduce the risk of many diseases and can help improve general health and wellbeing. I think that regular physical activity can provide immediate and long term health benefits and help improve the quality of a person’s life. Furthermore, I believe that physical activity can help alter an individual’s perception of themselves by changing their body shape/composition which in turn would help increase self-confidence and self-worth.

My opinion on this matter of physical activity, sport and exercise being for man only is nonsense. Women should be able to take part as well to stay fit and active. If it was a male's only thing to do, it would be very problematic in our society as obesity will increase in women , and to keep it balanced both genders should be motivated to partake in all kind of sports, exercise more often to keep the diseases away and live a healthy lifestyle.

I believe having womens only gym or institution even, where women could play sport and not worry if a men would be around, that would increase my need to participate in physical activities, sport and exercise.

My chances are very limited to take part of any physical activity, sports for fun. There are many things going on in my life at the moment, studying academic studies at the same time religious studies, working full-time and so on... I have very limited time for myself.

The same applies for competitive engagement, I would need enough time to train and compete against others generally speaking. Personally I wouldn't take part even if I had the time to, being a muslim i need to be weary of the environment around me and much likely there would be male present and the clothing wouldn't be necessarily appropriate to wear.

My family are active and do a lot of physical activities so it's not a problem at all. I sometimes get a lecture for not doing any sort of sport or exercising, this just shows how supportive and concerned about their health and mine. However some family members would be disapproving or not seeing the point of doing such things.

My main influence of not participating in physical activities, exercise and sports is my religious belief. Being a young veiled (hijabi) muslim is difficult to partake in sports, as not mainy institutions/gyms have girls only facilities which would allow the young muslim to be freely participating in activites and exercise. Regarding my family they are sporty and motivate me to be like them, I don't necessarily take part in sports but at home I try to do workouts to keep me fit.

It is vital to participate in physical activity, exercise and sport from time to time. At least a couple of minutes a day.The least a person could do is go for a walk to relax and clear their mind, this is wha i do the majority of the time since I don't have much time.

My sentiment towards free mixing sports is that it can be very uncomfortable for a Muslim women (with a veil or without) to be participating while men are around. But then again depending on the sport and the way it is played. I personally wouldn't want to run/jump etc...in front of men regardless of what type of clothing i'm wearing, and of course appropriate clothing that is modest.

During my years of high school, I was heavily involved with sports. From playing football to doing tournaments, taking part of after school sports clubs, and taking physical education as a subject to study in my final year which showed my passion for sport. In the past year or so,I go for little jogs or go hiking to keep myself in a good shape and feeling good about myself.

In my opinion physical activity is essential in ones life, it helps to prevent and reduce many diseases such as ; heart disease, stroke, breast cancer, osteoporosis. Regular physical activity and exercise can improve the physical and mental health, helping you to stay in shape, fit and feel better yourself.

I believe that what can increase your engagement in physical activity, sport and exercise is getting support from other society members in places like the gym, For example, seeing people laugh at me when I attempted to lift weights taught me to switch to cardio instead.
